Enterovirus D68

Gwenda Brown on September 11, 2014

Parents,

Due to the outbreak of this virus in nearby states in our region of the country I want to connect you to the Mississippi Department of Health (MSDH) for related informaiton concering this virus. According to the MSDH, "entervirus infections are usually seen more in the summer and fall, with newborns through teenagers being most likely to get infected and become sick. Infants and people with weakened immune systems have a greater chance of complications."  Since the symtoms of this virus and other dangerous respirtory viruses such as RSV begin much like a common cold please help us keep our childcare safe and healthy for all of us by seeking medical treatment immediately and keeping sick children at home when  sick.  I pray we will all have a healthy fall and winter.

Warment regards,

Gwenda
